The Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ Government Association is here to serve the needs of Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵs. Made up of the Executive Branch, the Legislative Branch, and the Judicial Branch, the organization functions as a typical governmental body and seeks to enhance the experience of Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵs at UL Lafayette.
Our Mission
The mission of the Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ Government Association is to serve the Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ body of the Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ of Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ at Lafayette by representing Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵs through a steadfast commitment to providing an environment conducive for the pursuit of Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ engagement; by ensuring opportunities for leadership development; and by engaging in Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ-driven initiatives in collaboration with university, city, and state officials in order to enrich the quality of Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ life and develop a unified Ragin’ Cajun community.
Preamble
A Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ Government Association, representing the Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ body of the Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ of Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ at Lafayette is hereby created in order to represent Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵs in matters pertaining to Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ welfare, Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ activities, Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ participation in university planning, and administration and Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ opinion.
The Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ Government, in its representative capacity, shall initiate and integrate Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ activities, inform the Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ body of the aim, policies and ideas of the university which pertain to or affect enrollees or the university among Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵs and alumni, and shall be considered and referred to as an advisory body to the university administration in all functions affecting the Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ body.
