What We Do
The Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ Government Association provides a host of services and events for Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵs in order to make their experience at the university a more enjoyable one.
Whether pertaining to issues of academics, campus life, or Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ services, concerns from Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵs and all other members of the UL Lafayette community are always appreciated, as they are what drive the purpose of our organization—to enhance the lives of Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵs at our Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ.

During finals week and the week before, the library and the Brew lounge are open 24 hours. SGA will provide late-night snacks and beverages in the library and in the Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ Union.
Each semester, SGA provides free scantrons for all Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵs. You can retrieve them in the SGA office.
SGA provides volunteers and financial support for the Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ food pantry.
SGA provides Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵs of the Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ of Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ at Lafayette with legal advice at no cost to the Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ.

A joint effort between UL Lafayette Police and Lafayette City Police. The two forces came together with the main objective to provide further safety for Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵs off campus in areas that are frequently occupied. One officer from each agency will partner to patrol areas including the McKinley Street Strip, downtown Lafayette and some apartment complexes.
The Office of Transportation Services transports Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵs to their residence halls after dark from any location on campus.
The Red Dot Discount Program is a business partnership between community businesses, the UL Lafayette Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ Government Association, and the UL Lafayette Alumni Association. The partnered businesses give Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵs, faculty, and alumni a discount for products or services.
In turn, the UL Lafayette Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ Government Association and Alumni Association promote and advertise for the company. It's a win-win situation for everyone involved.
The Red Dot Discount program was created to help UL Lafayette Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵs become more aware of the many businesses that support UL Lafayette and its Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵs, by offering discounts and/or special offers. In 2016, the program was extended to include UL Lafayette alumni.

To receive a discount, the Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ must show his/her current UL Lafayette identification card. Without their current I.D. card, Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵs WILL NOT receive the discount specified in the contract.
