Happy!

Dear Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵs,

With finals over, I'd like to share my gratitude with you for another great year. Across the Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ, you've made us proud.

Really, we are a happy bunch. And that sentiment is portrayed in this video of with you, and our faculty and staff members:

You have been racking up awards and accomplishments. There are far too many to mention all of them. I will share a few: our geology Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵs became the first to win the Imperial Barrel Award more than once; our Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵs also launched a second working satellite into space; and our Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ-athletes, in addition to being champions in several sports, ranked with the highest graduation rate among Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ and Sun Belt Conference universities. And, just as significant, so many of you gave your time through many community service endeavors.

For those of you graduating this Saturday, congratulations!  I offer you best wishes on behalf of the Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ community. You are forever a part of the Ragin' Cajun family. Stay in touch and visit us often.

For our returning Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵs, please have a safe and productive summer. We look forward to seeing you in the fall and wish you all the best.

Sincerely,

E. Joseph Savoie
