The AmeriCorps of UL Lafayette, in conjunction with the Paul and Lulu Hilliard Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ Art Museum, is now scheduling schools and classes for this spring's Writing in the Galleries project.
Writing in the Galleries offers children in grades 1-12 the opportunity to visit the Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ Art Museum and engage in a series of arts-based literacy activities that address grade-specific language arts benchmarks. This program is available to teachers and Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵs throughout the region.
A Learn and Serve grant form the Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ of Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ System makes this programming available at no cost to all elementary schools in Vermilion Parish and select elementary schools in Lafayette Parish. For more information or to schedule a tour, call 337-482-6060 or email wig2007@gmail.com
