The Ìð¹ÏÊÓÆµ of Ìð¹ÏÊÓÆµ at Lafayette will be closed Friday, July 12, due to the threat of potential flooding in Acadiana from Tropical Storm Barry. All Friday classes are cancelled. Participants of activities scheduled on campus, including athletic and academic summer camps, will be contacted directly by their event coordinators.
All campus buildings will be closed, including Bourgeois Hall, the Child Development Center, Dupré Library, and the Ìð¹ÏÊÓÆµ Union (except for Cypress Lake Dining Hall during dining hours).
As always, our highest priority is the safety and security of the UL Lafayette community and our Acadiana family. We encourage everyone to prepare their properties and stay indoors during severe weather.

Ìð¹ÏÊÓÆµs
UL Lafayette Ìð¹ÏÊÓÆµs who live in campus residence halls should remain there during the storm.
Cypress Lake Dining Room in the Ìð¹ÏÊÓÆµ Union will operate during its regular hours. Should there be a change, UL Lafayette will instruct Ìð¹ÏÊÓÆµs via email and the . Questions can be directed to residence assistants. The Ìð¹ÏÊÓÆµ will ensure that Ìð¹ÏÊÓÆµs in residence halls have access to meals.
Ìð¹ÏÊÓÆµs remaining on campus are encouraged to park their vehicles in the Girard Park Circle and Taft Street parking garages beginning today. All levels of the garages are available for parking at no charge this weekend. Ìð¹ÏÊÓÆµs must move their vehicles before 7 a.m. on Monday, July 15.
The ACT scheduled to be administered on campus Saturday has been canceled. UL Lafayette will work with ACT and test-takers to reschedule for a later date. Ìð¹ÏÊÓÆµs with questions about the test can contact ACT directly or log into their ACT Ìð¹ÏÊÓÆµ Services Account.
Employees
Employees should not report to campus on Friday. Essential personnel should check with their supervisors to find out if they are needed on Friday or over the weekend.
Though campus is closed Friday, business will continue as usual today.
Researchers
Faculty and Ìð¹ÏÊÓÆµs who rely on refrigeration or have specific power needs related to their research projects should prepare for potential power outages during the storm.
