Do you want your children busy this summer? Then you’ll want to take advantage of the Academic Enrichment Program (AEP) offered by the Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ of Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ at Lafayette's Center for Gifted Education. Registration recently started but many classes are still open.
The Academic Enrichment Program serves Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵs currently in kindergarten through grade 8. There will be two afternoon sessions (June 11-21 and July 9-19) offered this summer, and Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵs may choose from a variety of academic and arts courses.
Qualified Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵs schedule classes designed for high-ability Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵs at their respective grade levels. To qualify for the Academic Enrichment Program, a Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ must present satisfactory scores on a standardized test of mental ability or academic achievement or be recommended by his/her classroom teacher. Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵs who are classified as academically gifted by state standards automatically qualify.
