On June 10, legislators and visitors to the state Capitol in Baton Rouge will be seeing red. Ìð¹ÏÊÓÆµ of Ìð¹ÏÊÓÆµ at Lafayette administrators along with officials from Lafayette and surrounding parishes will be at the Capitol for the annual Acadiana Red and White Day.
The event is a collaborative effort between the university, city and parish governments, Acadiana area chambers of commerce, economic development councils, convention and visitors bureaus, South Ìð¹ÏÊÓÆµ Community College, Ìð¹ÏÊÓÆµ Technical College and Ìð¹ÏÊÓÆµ Immersive Technologies Enterprise.
The group is scheduled to attend legislative committee meetings in the morning and then have lunch in the Member's Louge at the Capitol. After a photo on the Capitol steps, the group will be recognized in the House chamber following by recognition in the Senate chamber.
