Damien Mitchell is an Assistant Professor of Industrial Design. He holds a Bachelor of Industrial Design from the Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ
of Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ at Lafayette and a Master of Fine Arts from the Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ of California, Davis. His professional experience
spans industrial design, graphic communication, and craft entrepreneurship. 

Damien’s research examines how craft democratizes design and manufacturing, fostering equity, accessibility, and sustainability in product development —a perspective that shapes his human-centered design teaching philosophy.
